Vivo has officially announced OriginOS 7, a new interface based on Android 17. The update introduces system enhancements, a redesigned UI, and new artificial intelligence features. The rollout plan covers over 60 smartphone and tablet models from both Vivo and iQOO, with updates scheduled in five waves through February 2027.
The initial release phase begins on October 9, 2026, targeting flagship devices like the Vivo X300 series and iQOO 15. The second wave follows on October 29, 2026, for models including the Vivo X200 series and iQOO 13. Subsequent updates are slated for completion by the end of November 2026, December 2026, and January 2027 respectively.
These release dates apply strictly to the Chinese market. Vivo is scheduled to hold a global presentation on September 21, where the company will disclose the update timeline for international device versions. Historically, global firmware releases typically arrive several weeks after the initial rollout in China.
