VinFast announced plans to introduce electric buses to the US market, offering a comprehensive package that includes vehicle supply, charging infrastructure, maintenance, and operational support. The company expects to begin deliveries of US-approved buses in the first quarter of 2028.
The manufacturer signed an initial agreement with NexMove, a joint venture between Transportation Management Services and Zeem Solutions. This partnership aims to provide transit agencies and fleet operators with a service agreement that guarantees 97% uptime for the vehicles.
VinFast currently operates approximately 2,000 electric buses in Vietnam equipped with LFP batteries, fast charging, and driver assistance systems. While the company has not yet disclosed specific US model details, pricing, or range, it plans to place demonstration units at Zeem charging depots.
The partners intend to establish US-based manufacturing that complies with Federal Transit Administration requirements. No specific locations or production timelines for these domestic facilities have been announced at this time.
