Public agencies in Florida can now procure electric vehicle charging infrastructure through the Florida Sheriffs Association Cooperative Purchasing Program. The initiative allows municipalities, school districts, and state agencies to acquire equipment without conducting individual request-for-proposal processes.

Verdek has renewed its contract under the FSA26-PWR5.0 agreement, which covers charging hardware, power stations, and management software. The updated contract now includes Tesla products, expanding the range of available charging solutions for public entities.

The product catalog features Level 2 chargers from Autel and ChargePoint, as well as DC fast chargers from manufacturers including ABB, Samsung, and Tritium. Additionally, the program offers portable charging units from Charge Rigs and Lincoln Electric, alongside software from ampUp.

According to Verdek CEO Guy Mannino, the renewal aims to assist public safety agencies and local governments in fleet modernization efforts. The program provides a pre-competed procurement channel designed to simplify the selection of charging technologies for eligible purchasers.
