The VVV token experienced a 34% price increase on Tuesday, reaching $24.77 amid a significant volume spike. This growth was triggered by a public dispute between an NYU mathematician and OpenAI regarding credit for fluid dynamics proofs, which raised concerns about whether private chatbot conversations could inform a competitor's work.

Venice, a project founded by ShapeShift creator Erik Voorhees, offers an AI platform where prompts are stored on the user's device instead of company servers. The platform utilizes open-source models and does not require accounts or content filtering.

The VVV token serves as an access key; staking it provides a proportional share of daily API inference capacity. Additionally, the DIEM token is minted by locking staked VVV, providing $1 per day of API credit indefinitely.

Token emissions have been reduced from 14 million per year at launch to 2.5 million as of September 1, with 2 million planned for October. A portion of the company's revenue is used to buy and burn VVV tokens on the open market.

Venice reported a significant increase in its annualized revenue run rate, which grew from $70 million in July to $100 million in August.
