VAS Experts has entered the Asia-Pacific market by deploying its SKAT DPI platform for a regional telecom operator. The solution replaces the American Sandvine (Applogic Networks) system, which the operator moved away from due to the end of support and development limitations.

The deployed complex handles mobile HTTP and HTTPS traffic at speeds up to 300 Gbps for over 3 million subscribers. The hardware setup includes two DPI nodes and two QoE servers running on ITPOD servers. The system integrates with the operator's existing AAA infrastructure to generate User Detail Records (UDR).

The platform processes data on 100G Ethernet interfaces and exports UDR files every 15 minutes. A built-in filtering layer reduces server load and storage requirements. The architecture allows for modular scaling by adding new DPI nodes without changing the overall system logic or being tied to specific hardware vendors.

According to VAS Experts executive director Artem Tereshchenko, the project demonstrates the capability of Russian technology to replace global vendors under high loads. The operator has achieved independence from vendor lock-in and can now scale its network incrementally using standard x86 servers.
