VAS Experts has expanded the hardware compatibility list for its SKAT DPI platform by adding support for LR-LINK network adapters. These cards, based on Intel chipsets, now support hardware bypass functionality, which was previously limited to Silicom equipment.

The new integration covers network cards with 1, 10, and 25 Gbps interfaces. This addition allows operators to utilize a broader range of hardware configurations when building or upgrading DPI nodes, moving away from reliance on a single vendor.

Hardware bypass is essential for in-line deployments, ensuring traffic continues to flow directly if the server loses power or requires maintenance. This mechanism prevents service disruptions for end users during equipment failures.

According to VAS Experts, the use of LR-LINK adapters helps reduce procurement costs for network components. The platform remains compatible with standard x86 servers, allowing companies to integrate existing infrastructure into their network projects.
