Vantage Data Centers is negotiating with asset managers Pimco and PGIM to secure approximately $2 billion in new debt. This financing aims to support the company's expansion in cloud and AI infrastructure, where demand continues to grow.
The company maintains an existing financial relationship with Pimco, which was part of a $3 billion revolving credit facility in 2024. PGIM, the investment division of Prudential Financial, is now expected to join as a new lender.
Vantage has recently completed several major funding rounds. In February 2026, Ares Management led a $2.4 billion refinancing, and in June 2025, the company secured a $5 billion green loan package for its New Albany campus.
Currently, Vantage operates 17 campuses across North America with a total IT load capacity exceeding 4 gigawatts. The firm is backed by DigitalBridge, which is currently slated for acquisition by SoftBank for roughly $3 billion.
As a private entity, Vantage relies primarily on debt markets rather than public stock issuance to fund its operations. The use of green loans allows the company to attract ESG-focused capital pools for its ongoing infrastructure projects.
