Asset management firm VanEck has officially requested to withdraw its application for a proposed exchange-traded fund focused on Lido staked Ether. The company confirmed it no longer intends to proceed with the distribution of shares for this specific trust.
The initial S-1 registration statement for the fund was filed by VanEck Digital Assets on October 16, 2025. The product was designed to provide investors with exposure to the liquid staking token and was expected to generate staking rewards through the underlying holdings.
In a recent filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the firm stated its decision to shelve the project. VanEck did not provide specific reasons for the withdrawal or disclose if it plans to develop a replacement investment product in the future.
