Valve has officially opened pre-orders for the Steam Frame VR headset, utilizing a randomized reservation lottery system. Interested customers can register until September 17, with the first purchase invitations scheduled for distribution on September 18.
The hardware is available in two storage configurations. The 256 GB model is priced at $1 059, while the 1 TB version costs $1 299. These prices reflect current market challenges, as the company cites DRAM and storage shortages for the increased costs.
Additional accessories are sold separately and are not included in the base package. A power supply unit is priced at $29, an Ergonomic Accessories Kit costs $59, and an Accessory Replacement Kit, which includes a face gasket and cushions, is available for $49.
