Valour Inc., a subsidiary of DeFi Technologies, launched a Zcash exchange-traded product on the Spotlight Stock Market in Sweden on September 29. The instrument, identified by ISIN CH1108681763, is structured as an open-ended vehicle and charges an annual management fee of 1.9%.
This launch follows the introduction of a similar product by 21Shares, which debuted on September 22 on Euronext Paris and Amsterdam. The 21Shares offering carries a higher annual fee of 2.5%. While 21Shares provides physical backing for its ETP, Valour's current disclosures do not specify a direct backing model.
Jacob Lindberg, Chief Revenue Officer at Valour, stated that the product was developed in response to growing demand from professional and retail investors for regulated access to Zcash. The company now manages a portfolio exceeding 100 digital asset ETPs, positioning it as a major issuer in the European market.
