Duke Waldrop, Head of Asia Markets at UTXO Management, discussed the potential impact of Bank of Japan and Federal Reserve interest rate decisions on Bitcoin liquidity. According to Waldrop, macro funds with yen-denominated liabilities may be forced to sell assets, with Bitcoin serving as a primary exit point due to its 24/7 liquidity.

The discussion also covered Metaplanet, which is currently trading below its net asset value. Waldrop noted that the company's potential removal from MSCI indexes, scheduled for November 30, does not alter the fundamental investment thesis. He emphasized that the focus remains on the execution capabilities of the Tokyo-based team.

Waldrop highlighted that Asian investors are increasingly adopting treasury strategies similar to those used by Western firms. He also mentioned that Metaplanet is exploring a Nasdaq listing route through Super League and noted that Capital Group holds an 11 percent stake in the company.
