The open-source utility Universal MFG Unlocker version 1.5.0 has been released, enabling the use of Nvidia's DLSS Preset C on older hardware. This update allows users of RTX 30 series graphics cards to access the frame generation preset, which was previously restricted to newer architectures.
According to the developer, dashdogy, the tool achieves this compatibility by supporting the DLSS 310.9.16 runtime. Users can expect performance improvements of up to 35% when utilizing this preset, which is designed to reduce computational load while maintaining frame rate stability.
Beyond the DLSS functionality, the new version improves frame pacing for RTX 30 series cards, particularly at high frame generation multipliers of 3x or greater. The tool also integrates OptiScaler, allowing users of Nvidia, AMD, and Intel graphics cards to enable Intel XeSS frame generation with options ranging from 2x to 6x.
