United Dairy Farmers (UDF) is expanding its services by installing DC fast chargers at six of its 170 retail locations in Ohio. The company expects to begin launching these charging stations in early 2027.

The selected sites are among the newest stores in the chain, featuring amenities such as food service, seating areas, and wifi. Customers will be able to use U-Drive Plus loyalty credits to pay for charging sessions.

UDF secured funding for all six locations through the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) program. These sites are situated in the Greater Cincinnati and Columbus areas.

The company plans to utilize 400-kW chargers from Electric Era. This technology integrates grid electricity with onsite battery storage to manage peak demand and support locations with limited grid capacity.

UDF will determine future expansion plans based on customer feedback and demand for the new charging services. The company intends to announce specific opening dates for each location in the future.
