System integrator UCSSB has deployed the PT Application Firewall Pro solution from Positive Technologies to secure its corporate web resources. The project focused on sites processing personal data, specifically the company's main portal for customer requests and its career site for job applicants.
The integration process was completed in three days, covering the setup of core functionality and security policies. The system is now in full operation following successful acceptance testing. The deployment was carried out on the company's existing hosting infrastructure within its own data center.
UCSSB previously implemented the standard PT Application Firewall in 2023 to protect internal services, including webmail, file storage, and training portals. The new Pro version was chosen for external sites based on this prior experience, allowing the company's internal engineering teams to handle the configuration.
The solution provides proactive protection against both mass and targeted attacks. Its containerized architecture ensures that traffic spikes or attacks on one segment do not impact others, while a centralized console manages security policies across the infrastructure.
Following the initial deployment, UCSSB plans to extend the security perimeter to include less critical web pages, such as corporate landing sites. The company intends to continue refining security policies and adding more applications to the protected environment.
