Uber Technologies has engaged banks to organize its first multi-tranche bond issuance in euros. This move marks a shift for the company, which has traditionally relied on US dollar-denominated capital.

The company secured investment-grade credit ratings in 2025, which provided access to more favorable borrowing costs and a wider range of institutional investors.

In July 2026, Uber finalized a €14,2 billion bridge credit agreement to support its public takeover bid for the German food delivery platform Delivery Hero SE. The new bond offering is intended to replace this temporary financing.

By issuing debt in euros, Uber aims to create a natural hedge against currency fluctuations, as the company generates revenue in the European currency. Specific details regarding the size, maturity, and pricing of the tranches remain undisclosed.
