U.S. Bank has appointed a new senior vice president to lead its Payments: Merchant and Institutional sales group. The executive will oversee operations for the technology, transportation, consumer, and hospitality sectors within the bank's Institutional Client Group.
The new hire brings over 18 years of experience in treasury and payments services. Previously, she led the Payments and Liquidity Product Sales group at Citi, where she provided advisory services to multinational corporations and Fortune 500 companies regarding working capital and payment strategies.
Her professional background also includes leadership roles in the commercial cards business at Citi and a three-year tenure at Deutsche Bank, where she focused on global cash management for multinational clients.
The appointment follows a strong financial performance for U.S. Bancorp, which reported a record quarterly income of $7.7 billion in July. Revenue from payment services reached $1.8 billion, marking a 5.7% increase year over year and accounting for 23% of the company's total revenue.
