Trust Wallet has integrated the Tronify energy rental service to optimize TRON network transactions. The feature automatically activates when users interact with dApps or send TRC-20 tokens, such as USDT, allowing them to rent energy and bandwidth instead of burning TRX tokens.

The integration aims to reduce transaction costs by up to 40% compared to standard network fees. The rental process is automated and typically completes within 3–5 seconds. Users can view costs before confirming and pay using either TRX or USDT.

Tronify operates as a non-custodial service that delegates resources to a user's wallet address. Beyond the 40% reduction in Trust Wallet, the service claims potential savings of 70% to 97% compared to direct TRX burning, depending on network conditions.

Prior to this integration, Tronify had already delegated over 1.8 billion energy units to approximately 38 000 wallets. Trust Wallet previously expanded its TRON support in December 2024 by introducing staking options and resource visibility features.

The shift toward energy rental may influence TRX tokenomics by potentially slowing the network's fee-burning mechanism. Tronify remains compatible with other non-custodial wallets, providing a benchmark for similar cost-optimization implementations across the ecosystem.
