President Donald Trump will present national science and technology awards to a group of prominent tech executives on October 8, 2026. The ceremony is scheduled to take place at the White House during the Science: A New Golden Age Summit.
Elon Musk, Sergey Brin, Jensen Huang, and Lisa Su are set to receive the National Medal of Science. Michael Dell and Satya Nadella will be honored with the National Medal of Technology and Innovation.
This event marks the first time President Trump has personally presented these specific honors during his time in office. The summit will feature addresses from Energy Secretary Chris Wright and NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman.
The administration intends to use the summit to highlight its research policy, focusing on the revitalization of federal funding and the encouragement of private-sector investment in scientific development.
