The decentralized prediction market platform Trueo has announced plans to migrate its operations from the Base network to the Ethereum mainnet. The project originally launched on Base in March 2025, utilizing the layer-2 solution to mitigate high gas costs during its early experimental phase.
According to the project's co-founder, known as Lumberg, the transition is driven by the need for greater integration potential and the goal of building a more credible, permissionless oracle system. The team stated that Ethereum provides a superior environment for the long-term development of its infrastructure.
Following the migration, Trueo intends to focus on increasing platform liquidity and deploying its next-generation oracle system. This technology is essential for verifying real-world outcomes that determine the resolution of prediction markets hosted on the platform.
Data from DefiLlama indicates that Trueo currently holds the position of the 14th-largest onchain prediction market. The platform's total value locked is reported at $795 687 as it prepares for this transition to the Ethereum ecosystem.
