TrizTech has secured a patent for a high-speed network traffic classification method integrated into its PT NGFW firewall. The technology optimizes core firewall operations, maintaining performance even as security policies and rule sets grow in complexity.

The patented approach replaces sequential rule checking with independent search indices and bitmask operations. By leveraging vector instructions on modern processors, the system processes data in parallel, significantly reducing computational load and increasing throughput.

The architecture handles incomplete session data by storing context and deferring decisions until necessary information, such as application protocols or URL categories, becomes available. This prevents redundant calculations and sustains high speeds under real-world traffic loads.

According to TrizTech CEO Denis Korablev, the patent highlights the company's focus on developing proprietary core algorithms rather than relying solely on standard hardware capabilities. The firm intends to patent further innovations that form the foundation of its security products.
