Trezor, owned by SatoshiLabs, is reducing its network of authorized resellers to mitigate supply-chain risks. The company announced this decision on October 13, 2026, emphasizing that the move is purely preventive and that there is no evidence of compromised Trezor hardware.
The company removed CryptoBilis from its list of authorized sellers on October 11, 2026. This decision followed reports linking the reseller to incidents involving tampered Ledger devices, which resulted in estimated losses between $86 million and $103 million, primarily affecting USDT holdings on the Tron network.
CryptoBilis has since stopped selling hardware wallets entirely. Trezor intends to further refine its list of partners and plans to publish an updated resellers page after the New Year.
In a separate incident in August 2026, a data breach at the logistics provider ShipMonk exposed the personal information of up to 81 000 Trezor customers. The affected records largely originated from the period between 2019 and 2021.
