The 2027 Toyota Grand Highlander Hybrid Woodland Edition was unveiled on October 1. The new trim features a 2.5-liter hybrid powertrain delivering 245 horsepower and comes standard with all-wheel drive. Toyota increased the ground clearance by half an inch and equipped the vehicle with all-terrain tires.
The Woodland Edition is designed for seven passengers and includes second-row captain's chairs. Practical additions for outdoor use include a removable cooler for six 12-ounce cans, all-weather floor mats, and a cargo tray with pop-up dividers. The vehicle maintains a maximum towing capacity of 3,500 pounds.
This model expands the existing Grand Highlander range, which currently consists of eight grades. Production takes place at the Toyota plant in Princeton, Indiana. While specific pricing for the Woodland Edition is not yet available, the broader 2027 Grand Highlander lineup starts at $42,560 for the base gas model.
Toyota expects the new hybrid trim to arrive at dealerships later this year. The vehicle is positioned as a lifestyle-oriented option rather than a performance-focused one, joining other outdoor-themed trims in the manufacturer's current lineup.
