Toyota has unveiled the 2027 Grand Highlander for the US market, introducing the new Woodland Edition. This trim features a modified suspension with a 13 mm higher ground clearance, 18-inch matte black wheels, and all-terrain tires. Standard equipment includes LED fog lights, roof rails, mudguards, and a trailer hitch.
The Woodland interior is based on the XLE trim, featuring second-row captain's chairs with a removable six-can cooler, all-weather floor mats, and a cargo organizer. The vehicle is powered by a hybrid system combining a 2.5-liter engine, an electric motor, and a nickel-metal hydride battery, delivering 248 hp. It includes a 120V outlet with 1500W output.
The Grand Highlander Hybrid Woodland AWD is priced at $51 780. Meanwhile, the flagship Hybrid Max Platinum, starting at $60 475, now features black exterior accents instead of chrome and silver. It retains its 367 hp powertrain, consisting of a 2.4-liter turbocharged engine and a six-speed automatic transmission.
Updates to other trims include a heated steering wheel and new 18-inch wheels for the XLE, and 20-inch two-tone wheels for the Platinum. Toyota has discontinued the Hybrid Nightshade Edition and Hybrid Max Limited trims. The base 2027 Grand Highlander starts at $42 560, reflecting a $300 price increase over the previous model year.
The new 2027 model year vehicles are scheduled to arrive at American dealerships before the end of 2026.
