Gazoo Racing has launched the GR Kart in Japan, positioning it as an entry-level vehicle for children and families. The machine is priced at ¥385 000, including tax, and is available for purchase through 36 kart tracks and 7 GR Garage dealers across the country.
The kart features a 215-cubic-centimeter gasoline engine and weighs 183 pounds. Its dimensions allow it to fit inside Toyota Noah or Voxy minivans without disassembly. The adjustable seat accommodates drivers ranging from 4.4 to 6.1 feet in height, enabling both children and adults to use the same vehicle.
Production takes place at the Gamagori GR Kart Workshop in Aichi Prefecture. While the kart is designed for closed-course use only and cannot be registered for public roads, it includes a companion app that provides setup instructions and driving tips for beginners.
The GR Kart is scheduled to participate in the A1 City Grand Prix GOTSU 2026 event on December 12 and 13. During this street event, the vehicles will operate on a temporary city course using carbon-neutral fuel.
