Toshiba has unveiled its updated Canvio Ready 2.5-inch portable hard drive line. The new models feature a redesigned chassis with a textured finish for better grip and a top cover constructed from 65 percent recycled materials.
The product series offers three storage capacity options: 1TB, 2TB, and 4TB. It connects via USB 5Gbps, is powered through the USB interface, and includes a USB Type-A to Micro-B cable in the package.
The drive incorporates a ramp-loading design to protect the internal mechanical components during transport. Additionally, an integrated shock sensor provides extra protection against accidental impacts.
The company confirmed that the new Canvio Ready hard drives are scheduled to hit the market in the fourth quarter of 2026.
