According to Binance Research, tokenized stocks accounted for 11% of decentralized exchange trading volume in September 2026. This figure marks a significant rise from near-zero levels observed throughout 2025 and the first half of 2026. In late July, the trading share of these assets briefly surpassed that of meme coins.
Meme coins, which saw their DEX market share fluctuate between 6% and 53% during 2025, averaged 17% in September. The report indicates that tokenized equities are increasingly capturing trading activity previously dominated by meme coins, reflecting a shift toward integrating traditional assets into on-chain financial networks.
The market capitalization of tokenized stocks exceeded $3 billion during the fourth week of September, as reported by RWA.xyz. This growth establishes tokenized stocks as the fastest-growing real-world asset category of 2026. BNB Chain currently hosts approximately $1 billion of this market, representing a 34% share.
On-chain transfer volume for tokenized stocks has seen a sharp increase, rising from $6 billion in the first quarter of 2026 to over $100 billion in the third quarter. Additionally, decentralized finance protocols have recorded higher deposit levels for these tokens over the past year.
