Weekly trading volume for tokenized stocks on decentralized exchanges has surged from $627 million to $3.4 billion following the launch of Robinhood Chain. This represents a more than fivefold increase in activity within the sector.
Robinhood Chain, a Layer 2 network built on Arbitrum Orbit, launched its mainnet on July 1, 2026. The platform enables round-the-clock trading of stock tokens, including assets like NVDA, GME, SPY, AAPL, and SpaceX.
Following the launch, daily trading volume for tokenized equities on the network averaged $29.7 million, with peak sessions reaching over $85 million during market events. By September 2026, the total value locked on the chain exceeded $900 million.
Despite the growth, tokenized equities account for less than 10% of the total trading volume on Robinhood Chain, with memecoins representing the majority of activity. The network now provides global access to stock price exposure, whereas previously such services were limited to European users on Arbitrum.
Other networks are also seeing significant growth in this space. Solana, for instance, saw its tokenized equity trading volume climb from $1.34 million to $3.32 billion over the same period, driven by competition between chains and various incentive programs.
