Tim Cook, the former CEO and current executive chairman of the board at Apple, stated in an interview with The Independent that he will not interfere with the decisions of the new CEO, John Ternus.

Cook emphasized that his relationship with Ternus is built on high levels of trust and frequent, deep communication. He noted that he is currently focusing his efforts on global policy and government relations, which requires significant attention.

Regarding the leadership transition, Cook advised Ternus to approach the role as his own and focus on areas where he can create the most value for the company. He explicitly encouraged the new CEO not to imitate his leadership style, just as he did not imitate Steve Jobs.
