The THORWallet application has introduced native support for the Monero network. Users can now perform core operations such as sending and receiving XMR directly within the interface. The integration allows for the creation and management of multiple Monero accounts derived from a single wallet seed, offering users enhanced flexibility for their network activity.
The wallet provides options for node management, allowing users to configure their own custom Monero nodes or utilize a default node provided by the application. Security is maintained through a lightweight implementation where private keys, balances, and transaction history are stored locally on the user's device.
THORWallet is currently preparing for the next phase of the integration, which involves native cross-chain swaps. This functionality is undergoing testing and auditing on THORChain. Once live, users will be able to exchange XMR for assets like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and Zcash without using centralized exchanges or custodial services.
