Tesla has introduced hardware updates for the Model 3 in China, increasing the central touchscreen size from 15.4 inches to 16 inches. The new display features higher resolution and a faster refresh rate for navigation and entertainment. Additionally, customers can now select a light gray premium interior option paired with a black fabric headliner.
Both Model 3 and Model Y vehicles now support external AC power output of up to 2.2 kW. To utilize this feature, owners must purchase a separate external AC power adapter, with the exception of the Model Y L variant. This functionality is intended for powering appliances during outdoor activities.
Despite these feature enhancements, Tesla has maintained the existing pricing structure for all Model 3 variants. The Rear-Wheel Drive model starts at ¥235 500, while the Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive is priced from ¥259 500. The Long Range All-Wheel Drive and Performance All-Wheel Drive versions remain at ¥285 500 and ¥339 500 respectively.
The company continues to offer various purchase incentives in China. Customers ordering a Model 3 by October 31 can receive a ¥5 000 discount on the final payment. Eligible models also qualify for an insurance subsidy of ¥8 000, interest-free financing for up to 5 years, and benefits for optional paint or charging services.
Market data shows that Tesla delivered 20 787 Model 3 units in China during August, marking a 17.18 percent year-on-year increase. However, cumulative deliveries for the first eight months of the year reached 89 320 units, representing a 25.26 percent decline compared to the same period in the previous year.
