Tesla's shares dropped by 6% following the debut of the Cybercab autonomous taxi. Investors expressed disappointment over the lack of detailed information regarding the product, production volumes, and service pricing. Additionally, the company failed to provide evidence of official permits for commercial passenger transport services.

The Cybercab is a driverless vehicle without a steering wheel or pedals, designed to carry two passengers and luggage. Production began in Austin, Texas, in April, and the vehicles entered serial production in July. The service has already launched in Austin, though its operational area is remains limited.

The market reaction was further dampened by the absence of a traditional online broadcast of the announcement. Furthermore, early user reports on social media highlighted technical issues, including routing errors and increased waiting and travel times for the Cybercab taxis.
