Tesla has officially introduced the Semi electric truck to the European market, with customer deliveries scheduled to begin in 2027. The company aims to assist logistics firms in transitioning their fleets away from diesel-powered vehicles.

The European version of the Semi features a range of 550 kilometers when carrying a total combined weight of 40 tons. The vehicle consumes approximately 1 kWh per kilometer and is powered by three independent electric motors on the rear axle, providing a peak power output of 800 kW.

Charging options include the Megacharger, which offers up to 800 kW of power and can charge the battery to 60% in 30 minutes, and the 120 kW Basecharger, designed for overnight charging at logistics hubs. Fleet customers can also utilize a 25 kW ePTO feature for auxiliary equipment like refrigerated trailers.

The European model includes design modifications to comply with local regulations, such as the removal of traditional side mirrors and the addition of independent headlights. The interior features a centered driver seat, large touchscreens, and noise-reducing materials. Tesla also plans to integrate its FSD system into the Semi.
