Tesla has filed a building permit for a dedicated service center for its Semi electric trucks in Las Vegas. The project, identified as BD26-39451, involves a tenant improvement in a shell building located at 3780 N Las Vegas Blvd. The site is situated within the LV Logistics One industrial development, which features large-scale logistics facilities.

The application classifies the facility as a repair garage. While the permit is currently awaiting plans, it marks one of the first public filings for the company's planned network of approximately 20 dedicated Semi service locations across the United States. Tesla is leasing the space rather than constructing a new building from the ground up.

The location is strategically positioned along the I-15 freight corridor, which connects Southern California ports to Las Vegas and Salt Lake City. This route is within the 325-mile range of the Standard Range Semi. Currently, the only operating Megacharger site in Nevada is located at Giga Nevada in Sparks, approximately 440 miles north of the new service center site.

Tesla recently initiated volume production of the Semi at its Sparks factory, targeting an annual capacity of 50,000 units. Major customers for the electric truck include PepsiCo, DHL, US Foods, and ABF, while Einride placed an order for 500 vehicles in August. The new service center is essential for supporting the growing fleet of Class 8 trucks.
