Tesla has updated delivery estimates for its Model Y lineup, revealing significant variations based on vehicle configuration. The Model Y L Premium, which features a long-wheelbase body with a third row, currently shows the longest wait time, with estimated deliveries pushed to January–February 2027.
In contrast, standard Model Y trims, including rear-wheel and all-wheel drive versions, offer shorter wait times with expected deliveries between December 2026 and January 2027. The Premium and Performance configurations are available even sooner, with current estimates pointing to October–November 2026.
The Model Y L Premium AWD Launch Series, which debuted on July 2, 2026, started at $61,990 and included features such as Full Self-Driving, Supercharging, and Premium Connectivity. The extended wait for this specific model is attributed to high demand for the new body style.
Other factors continue to influence purchasing decisions, including a 4.5 percent increase in lease pricing for the Model Y Premium implemented in May 2026, which raised the monthly payment to $718. Additionally, California buyers may qualify for a $3,500 rebate under the MyFirstEV program.
