Tesla has updated the owner's manual for the Model YL, adjusting several vehicle specifications. The changes include a reduction in the overall height and ground clearance of the car by 3 to 4 millimeters.

According to the updated manual, the vehicle's total height is now 1664 mm, compared to the previous 1668 mm. The ground clearance under load has been reduced from 122 mm to 118 mm, and the unladen ground clearance has decreased from 169 mm to 166 mm.

These revisions follow reports from multiple owners regarding rear wheel suspension issues. Users noted that the gap between the rear wheel arch and the tire decreased after long-distance driving, raising concerns about vehicle stability and safety.

Some owners reported that the issue persisted even after replacing the springs at service centers. There is concern that the updated manual parameters might complicate the process of defining defects and securing future repairs for affected vehicles.

As of now, Tesla has not provided an official statement regarding the suspension concerns or the manual updates. Customer support representatives stated that they have not received any official notifications or information regarding these changes.
