TerraMaster has released an update for its TerraSync software, introducing new file sharing and on-demand synchronization features for Mac users. The update aims to streamline collaboration for business teams and content creators while optimizing local storage usage on Mac devices.
The new file sharing functionality allows users to share files directly from personal or team folders. Users can assign specific permissions, such as preview or management rights, and generate both internal network links and external links via TNAS.online. External links support password protection and expiration settings.
The on-demand synchronization feature enables users to view remote file directories without downloading entire libraries. Files can be downloaded as needed, and the system can automatically clear cached data when local storage space is low. This feature supports two-way synchronization and one-way downloads.
TerraSync now supports collaborative editing of Office documents via the Online Office package. Additionally, the software offers version control, allowing users to store up to 32 versions of a file. The platform maintains cross-platform compatibility across Windows, Mac, and Linux systems.
Security measures in the updated software include SSL encryption for data transfers, granular permission systems for folders, and activity logs. These tools are designed to assist users in managing data access and protecting information across various network environments.
