Tencent has updated its WorkBuddy platform to version 5.6.1, introducing a feature that allows users to create and publish WeChat mini-programs using natural language. The tool automates the entire development cycle, including generation, preview, and deployment, without requiring manual coding.

The platform integrates cloud services directly into the mini-programs, including database management, file storage, and user authentication via phone number or WeChat login. Users can also trigger AI model calls through the interface. The system manages these backend connections automatically based on the user's requirements.

To launch a mini-program, users can either select from predefined templates or describe their needs in a chat window. Once generated, the application can be tested via a 14-day trial version or linked to an official WeChat account for formal submission and review. The platform also provides tools to monitor user traffic and manage data after the program goes live.

WorkBuddy supports ongoing operations by allowing users to view analytics and manage cloud resources directly within the application workspace. For advanced debugging, the platform can trigger external WeChat developer tools to perform real-time testing in a production-like environment.
