The latest beta version of Telegram for Android, 12.10.4 (7095), introduces an experimental menu for video message customization. Users can now adjust recording parameters, including resolution, frame rate, and bitrate, to better control the quality of their content.

Available resolution options include 360p and 480p, with frame rate settings allowing for 30 or 60 FPS. The bitrate can be manually configured within a range of 750 Kbps to 2 Mbps. Additionally, users can now adjust camera quality settings directly within the app.

The update adds support for the Android Camera2 API and implements a memory feature for camera selection. The app will now default to the last used camera for subsequent recordings. Furthermore, users can disable the circular crop, allowing video messages to be sent in a square format.

These features are currently restricted to the experimental section of the Android beta client. The company has not yet announced a timeline for the official release of these tools to the general user base.
