TelecomDaily analyzed mobile internet speeds across MTS, MegaFon, Beeline, and T2 networks in Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, and Ufa. The measurements took place during the first week of October using TEMS Investigation and NEMO equipment.
Ufa recorded the highest average download speed at 693.3 Mbps, followed by Moscow at 629.2 Mbps and Saint Petersburg at 581.2 Mbps. These figures represent the arithmetic mean of the maximum speeds observed across all tested operator networks.
MTS achieved the highest individual peak speed of 1.49 Gbps in Ufa. The operator also reached 1.18 Gbps in Saint Petersburg, 1.16 Gbps in Moscow, 846.5 Mbps in Yekaterinburg, and 614.2 Mbps in Novosibirsk.
5G connectivity was identified across all four operators in Moscow and Saint Petersburg, and for two operators in Yekaterinburg and Novosibirsk. In Ufa, the technology was detected only within the MTS network, which utilizes the n79 band across all five cities.
