TechNode Group signed a memorandum of understanding with The Tech and Khan Tengri Innovation Hub on September 8, 2026. The agreement was finalized in Astana, Kazakhstan, during the Astana Finance Days and the China–Central Asia 2026 conference. The partnership involves key figures including Dr. Gang Lu, Laura Zhunussova, and Maral Shashkenova.
The collaboration aims to strengthen technology and innovation networks across Central Asia, China, and Southeast Asia. The parties plan to integrate their media resources, industry networks, and innovation platforms to facilitate market entry, investment dialogues, and cross-border business connections for startups and technology companies.
The Tech provides media coverage of venture capital and startup ecosystems in Central Asia and the Caucasus. Khan Tengri Innovation Hub, based in Shanghai, operates across seven countries, including Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, and Georgia. The hub focuses on technology transfer, business incubation, and joint research.
This expansion follows TechNode's previous growth in Southeast Asia, where it established TNGlobal five years ago. TNGlobal recently acquired the Hong Kong-based media outlet Jumpstart. The current agreement represents a strategic move to broaden TechNode's international presence and foster deeper cooperation between Chinese and Central Asian technology sectors.
