Investment bank TD Cowen suggests that Bitcoin is transitioning from a simple investable asset into a core component of financial infrastructure. The firm noted that institutional interest is shifting toward the ecosystem surrounding the cryptocurrency rather than just accumulation.

Following the BitcoinTreasuries Conference in New York, analysts highlighted that Bitcoin could support capital markets activity. This evolution includes the integration of Bitcoin into institutional products, a trend already supported by companies like MicroStrategy, which uses its holdings to back dividend-paying preferred stocks.

Institutional custody services are also expanding as larger capital pools enter the market. BNY Mellon launched digital asset custody in 2022, becoming the first major U.S. bank to do so. Additionally, Deutsche Bank announced plans to introduce a Bitcoin custody service for corporate and institutional clients in Europe by 2026.
