Lance Vitanza, Managing Director at TD Cowen, stated that institutional investors have shifted their focus from whether to hold Bitcoin to determining the optimal methods for acquisition. Vitanza notes that Bitcoin is transitioning from a simple standalone asset into a broader capital markets ecosystem.
This evolving ecosystem now includes various financial instruments such as common stock, preferred shares, bonds, and income-generating products. Vitanza highlighted these developments following his participation in the Bitcoin Treasuries conference held in New York.
Regarding future market performance, TD Cowen has established a price target for Bitcoin of $132 000 by 2027. The firm is also analyzing the potential for well-managed companies that hold Bitcoin in their corporate treasuries to outperform the asset itself.
The discussion also covered the evaluation of digital credit and the resilience of companies with Bitcoin treasuries during market downturns. Vitanza specifically mentioned the role of operating businesses like Strive, Metaplanet, and Nakamoto in this emerging sector.
