TCL unveiled its flagship X5 CPE device at the Network X 2026 conference in Vienna. The product is positioned as a comprehensive AI-powered 5G solution for households and small businesses, targeting remote work, gaming, and smart home connectivity.

The device adheres to the 3GPP Release 18 standard and achieves a theoretical peak downlink speed of 7.01 Gbps. Its hardware features an 8Rx radio architecture equipped with four 13dB directional C-band antennas and four omnidirectional C-band antennas, which increases throughput by 51% compared to 4Rx designs.

The X5 incorporates a unified agent architecture that supports local multi-agent scheduling. It includes an integrated model library, a skill set, and a unified runtime environment to manage AI-driven network optimization and self-diagnostic tasks.
