TCL CSOT is developing OLED monitor panels capable of reaching 700 Hz refresh rates. These displays are expected to be produced at the company's Gen 8.6 inkjet-printed OLED facility in Guangzhou, with manufacturing scheduled to commence in 2028.
The upcoming panels will include 32-inch and 34-inch sizes. Before this, TCL plans to launch 27-inch UHD 120 Hz inkjet-printed OLED panels for MSI in the third quarter of 2026, utilizing its existing Gen 5.5 production line.
The broader market for OLED monitor panels is expanding, with Omdia forecasting shipments of 6.1 million units in 2026, representing a 79% increase from the previous year, and 7.5 million units in 2027.
Market prices for OLED monitors are currently declining, as evidenced by a 40% drop in the cost of 27-inch 240 Hz models this year. TCL aims to become the third major supplier alongside Samsung Display and LG Display.
