Tamron has unveiled its new 16-50mm F2.8 A (model B091) lens, designed specifically for APS-C mirrorless cameras. The lens features a constant F2.8 aperture across the entire zoom range and utilizes the company's proprietary VXD linear motor focus mechanism for autofocus performance.
The lens is engineered for portability, measuring 79.6mm in length and weighing 305g, with a filter diameter of 55mm. It also offers a minimum focusing distance of 0.15m at the wide-angle end and includes a lanyard hole on the front lens cap to prevent loss.
The product will be available in four different mounts. The Sony E and Canon RF versions are scheduled for release on October 29, 2026. The Nikon Z mount version will follow on November 19, 2026, while the Fujifilm X mount model is set to launch on December 17, 2026.
