Russian mobile operator T2 has officially joined the Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Communications (RCC). The company has become a member of the Council of Telecommunications and Infocommunications Operators, which serves as an intergovernmental coordinating body for the sector.

The RCC currently includes digital ministries from 13 countries, including Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Bulgaria, Slovenia, and Cuba. The council brings together more than 60 companies to address industry challenges.

T2 plans to focus on several key areas within the organization, including the implementation of artificial intelligence, the development of 5G and 6G standards, and international tariff policy. The operator aims to leverage the platform for benchmarking and sharing best practices.

A major priority for the collaboration is the fight against phone fraud and cybercrime. According to Dmitry Petrov, Deputy CEO for Corporate Development at T2, cross-border cooperation is essential to address fraudulent activities that often originate from outside the country.
