T2 and En+ Telecom have deployed telecommunications infrastructure across coal mining sites in the Irkutsk region. The project involved the installation of nine base stations, providing nearly 100 percent mobile coverage for the company's coal mining divisions in Cheremkhovo and Tulun, as well as across five districts in the region.

The established network enables real-time data transmission from mining machinery and equipment, supporting the digitalization of production processes. This connectivity serves as the foundation for remote monitoring systems, allowing for the continuous tracking of operational data across the industrial sites.

At the Mugunsky site of the Tulunugol branch, the companies implemented a thermal monitoring system to prevent spontaneous combustion of brown coal. This process utilizes drones equipped with thermal imaging cameras to detect temperature anomalies on the surface and within coal piles.

The early detection of heating zones reduces the risk of fires and industrial incidents. By preventing coal self-heating, the company preserves the fuel quality for power plants in Irkutsk, Angarsk, Zima, and other cities, ensuring stable energy supplies for the region.
