T-Bank has reported the initial results of its integration with the state-run Antifraud system. By implementing the first three fraud detection scenarios, the bank has updated over 100,000 phone numbers and prevented potential thefts totaling more than 80 ₽ million from customer accounts.
The first scenario focuses on signals from telecom operators regarding contract terminations or changes in ownership. This allowed the bank to identify and detach over 100,000 numbers no longer belonging to customers, preventing potential losses of 42 ₽ million. Two additional scenarios involving data exchange on identified fraudsters and potential victims helped stop further theft of 39 ₽ million.
T-Bank currently utilizes eleven interaction scenarios within the Antifraud system. The bank plans to further expand its protection by integrating signals from messengers and digital platforms. According to Oleg Zamiralov, head of the bank's ecosystem security center, this will enable real-time detection of fraud attempts at their earliest stages.
