Cross-chain liquidity protocol Symbiosis has successfully recovered 15 Bitcoin, valued at approximately $1.1 million, following a recent exploit of its Bitcoin bridge. The recovered assets were moved into a multi-sig wallet controlled by the team. While the native bridge remains paused, the protocol confirmed that all other routes are currently operational.

The security incident involved the unauthorized minting of 46.1 billion unbacked tokens. Blockchain security firm Blockaid reported that the attacker realized net proceeds of 4.3 Wrapped Bitcoin, worth $336,000. DefiLlama also estimated losses at $336,000, though Symbiosis has not yet provided a final accounting of the total impact.

Following the expiration of a white-hat bounty offer on Sunday, the protocol is now offering a 20% reward to anyone providing information that leads to the recovery of the remaining stolen assets. Symbiosis plans to release a compensation framework for liquidity providers affected by the bridge exploit.
