German municipal utility SWK Energie has introduced a specialized electricity tariff branded as meinGAMING. The plan features a higher fixed monthly base fee combined with a reduced cost per kilowatt-hour, targeting users with high energy consumption.

The company provides three usage presets for consumers: Casual Gamer at 2500 kWh per year, Pro Gamer at 3500 kWh, and Gaming Haushalt at 5000 kWh. SWK notes that the plan is also suitable for households using electric vehicles or heat pumps.

Pricing for the service is determined by the customer's postcode. For instance, in the 51381 area, the rate is set at 25.01 cents per kWh with a monthly base fee of €23.67. New customers receive a bonus of €100 and a price guarantee for up to 24 months.

The energy supplied is certified as 100 percent renewable, sourced from European hydroelectric plants. While marketed toward gamers, the company acknowledges that a standard gaming PC typically consumes significantly less than the 2500 kWh threshold.
